Description: Tinned brass spun bowl ‘Down Hearth’ small saucepan with original wrought iron handle and stand. The bowl has rolled over rim around an iron ring. The inner surface with traces of tinning. Bowl attached with three copper rivets. These pans were placed in the embers of the fire in a fireplace to warm food or drink.
Dimensions: Max length 58.6cm. Max Diameter bowl 15cm. Height of bowl 7.5cm. Height at handle end 10.9cm.
