Description: Clean example of this black transfer Staffs pottery “Train Mug”.It has an engine and bogey, and two further carriages. Landscape with church, house and mountains in distance. This transfer appears on other larger mugs and different colour ways marked as made by H&B. (One has also been attributed as a commemorative of the LIVERPOOL & MANCHESTER RAILWAY, 1836.unmarked -at the Science Museum) No faults to note. No cracks ,chips or repairs.
